CBL Malls encourage shoppers to spread Random Acts of Kindness

Posted

Muskegon, MI (December 11, 2013) – ‘Tis the season when hearts warm at the thought of doing something for others. The Lakes Mall will be conducting random acts of kindness during the twelve days before Christmas. Mall management will surprise random shoppers by paying for their lunch, buying them an iced cold Coke or giving them a gift from one of the mall retailers. In addition, Team Happiness volunteers from local organizations will be on hand Friday, December 13 through Sunday December 15 to assist customers with finding stores, opening doors, passing out coupons, help carry trays in the food court and more. Shoppers will be given a card asking that they pass on an act of kindness.

The Lakes Mall is also offering other opportunities to give love to those in need this holiday season.

Charity Gift Wrap – Benefiting Heaven Can Wait and Pound Buddies

Charity gift wrap offers shoppers an easy way to wrap up their shopping and give back to local organizations! Gift wrapping is available near JCPenney, pricing varies on package size and the organization has various operating hours. All proceeds are to support local animal care and rescue efforts. Visit the mall website for scheduled hours of operation at TheLakesMall.com.

Salvation Army Bell Ringers

Salvation Army bell ringers are scheduled throughout the holiday season. Bell ringers are a traditional holiday sight in Muskegon and offer varied opportunities to make small or large donations to support Salvation Army programs.

“There is no easier way to spread the spirit of the season during the holidays – than to incorporate an act of charity into your shopping trip this Christmas,” says Michael Hagen, General Manager for The Lakes Mall. “We are delighted to work with great organizations within our community to offer these opportunities for shoppers to give back.”
